Enviro Links Design is a skilled professional service in golf
course and associated resort / estate vegetation management,
landscape design and sustainable ecological habitat creation /
protection. Our integrated skills have been of benefit to both new
developments and to rectify problems at established golf links.
Jamie Dawson, the founder of Enviro Links Design, undertakes the
lead role in all golf course landscape projects. This draws upon his
landscape design experience, tree assessment, environment planning
and Golf Course Architect skills. He has a special affinity and
interest in the field as it was his well recognised leading edge
approach to comprehensive Golf Course Vegetation Management and
Planting Plans from the mid-eighties that was the genesis of his
becoming a Golf Course Architect. Indeed many other Course
Architects have recognised this skill, and engaged Jamie to ensure
their long term course visions are better achieved by a positive
landscape contribution.
Our designs follow an integrated design approach, where function,
aesthetic appeal, long term golfing experiences and strategies,
safety and implications for turf management are some of the factors
considered before siting and selecting grasses, shrub and tree
species. These are also equally relevant in pruning, tree surgery
and removal strategies.

Leading golf clubs from Kingston Heath in Victoria to Horton Park
in Queensland, including eleven in NSW and the ACT, have benefited
from this long term strategic guide to improve and manage their
vegetation well into this century. They are able to implement the
recommendations over time according to budget and manpower
resources. The costs of this service are more than fully recovered
in the benefits gained from a focussed comprehensive long-term
vegetation management strategy.
Importantly the issues identified from the detailed established
course analysis and solutions in a Vegetation Management Plan allows
far more appropriate and considered decisions to be made in new
course landscape designs.
Half a dozen articles on this website relate to course
